Did Jesus Really Live Again Lds Video

I constitute an interactive poster to teach Did Jesus Actually Live Again? and loved the idea!  I'm not much of an artist so I recreated a digital one! However, if y'all don't have the fourth dimension or pick to create a poster, I've got a few simplified variations below!!

There'south a video Hither with a demonstration on how information technology works.

I'thou glad I only occasionally get all crafty as I'm a little worried this might be a PROP FLOP so attempt information technology at your own risk ;).

**UPDATE:  I wanted to let you lot know how this went in main…information technology was a HUGE success!  The kids were and so tranquility, attentive and mesmerized past the poster!  Information technology was bang-up!  Perhaps it was due to my praying all calendar week that my lesson plan wouldn't fail!  The Lord never ceases to amaze me!  The poster took a little maneuvering simply it wasn't bad at all.  I'd definitely recommend doing this!

The Poster

First you'll need the affiche I created (and a HUGE thank you to Susan Fitch for the artwork establish Hither!!):

Access my printables at my Resource Library.  Instructions for accessing my Resource Library are found at the bottom of this post.

I recommend printing at Costco as a lustre 20×30 print for $9.99.  You need the JPEG version.  Other printers might prefer the PDF file.

I should mount mine on white affiche board to make it a lilliputian more durable but … nah.  Or I accept a tiled version that you tin can print at abode (it prints on 8 sheets of newspaper/card stock that y'all can mount then record together).

Then you need all the poster pieces that become to it:

I printed on white card stock and cut them out.  Then I have a laminator that is more similar a contact newspaper applier-automobile that worked perfect for this projection!

Just packaging tape volition easily work!  Or you lot can buy contact paper rolls at Wal-Mart for pretty cheap.  Just brand sure to apply either record or contact newspaper to both sides of your images.

Here are my strips, I spaced the images almost 4 inches autonomously::

Upper corner:

• question marking
• "3"
• center (I changed this – the video doesn't have a centre, merely a repeated question mark)
• question mark

Right side:

• Yes!
• Mary (in this order)

Lesser:

• Greenish arrow
• fish
• honeycomb
• nail
• spear

Then you lot need a large oval to make for the rock roofing the tomb.  Go creative.  I found some thin cardboard around my house (I save random things for projects like this – anyone else?) then covered information technology with some gray card stock I had on hand.  Information technology needs to be approximately 18×12 inches.

Then you lot need a brad to make the circle spin, and another brad to attach to the male child and daughter.

I'm going to have it hung on the board with heavy magnets.  The magnets are as well helping my tombstone not fall over to the right and another magnet to concur upwards the girl and boy, so they don't flop forward when they are revealed.

Action

As an attention getter, ask the children if they think Jesus lived after he died.  Then ask if they think they will live again afterwards they die.  Tell them this song answers this question – a question that many people don't know the answer too!  Have them mind as you lot and the teachers sing as you employ the interactive affiche.

Repeat again having the kids try to sing along as you move the pieces (I can only slide them along with my fingers).  After doing information technology a few times, in between each epitome/phrase, you can stop and inquire if they know what is coming adjacent.

Deportment

Optionally, add in these deportment (the actions are from HERE which has a peachy lesson programme too!):

• Did Jesus really alive once more (agree hands out with palms up like asking a question)
• Yeah, when the third 24-hour interval came (agree up three fingers)
• He wakened and he left the tomb (blink optics and walk in place)
• He called Mary'southward name (loving cup hands around mouth)
• Did Jesus come to those he loved (put hands over heart)
• Yes, people touched his anxiety (curve over and bear on anxiety),
• And of the fish and honeycomb (wiggle manus back and forth similar a fish swimming)
• He did truly consume (pantomime eating).
• And there were nail prints in his easily (signal to manus)
• And a spear wound in his side (point to side)
• Did Jesus really alive again after he had died (hold hands out with palms upwardly like asking a question)
• Oh yes! And so shall I (nod head and point to self)!

If y'all are really dauntless, have dissimilar children come up take turns (only I'm non sure I'd recommend this unless you take a very small principal otherwise, in that location might be tears!).

At the terminate, bear testimony that you lot know Jesus was resurrected and lived after he died, as will we.

VARIATIONS:

Omit the interactive poster and employ the enlarged key-discussion images from the interactive affiche, using the actions posted to a higher place.  Cut the pages in half.
